Product Description
The Aidear Gasketed Plate Heat Exchanger (PHE) is a versatile, high-efficiency solution for liquid-to-liquid heat transfer in industrial, commercial, and HVAC applications. As shown in the workshop photo, this unit features a bolted frame with blue powder-coated end plates, thick stainless steel compression bars, multiple tie bolts for even pressure distribution, corrugated 316L stainless steel plates, and replaceable elastomeric gaskets (visible sealing edges)—allowing full disassembly for cleaning, inspection, or plate addition/removal.
This bolted, gasketed design provides exceptional flexibility: plates can be easily added or reconfigured to adjust capacity, and gaskets can be replaced on-site without special tools, making it ideal for applications where fouling or periodic maintenance is expected.
Product Type: Gasketed Plate Heat Exchanger (PHE) / Bolted Plate Heat Exchanger
Plate Material: AISI 316L Stainless Steel (standard for excellent corrosion resistance; 304, SMO 254, or titanium optional)
Gasket Material: NBR, EPDM, Viton, HNBR, or food-grade variants (clip-on or glued; temperature/chemical compatibility customizable)
Frame Material: Carbon Steel with epoxy/polyester powder coating (standard blue finish); stainless steel frame optional
Connection Types: Flanged (DIN/ANSI), threaded, or welded nozzles; multi-port options
Operating Medium: Water, Glycol, Steam, Thermal Oil, Refrigerants, Acids/Alkalis, Food Products, Slurries
Design Pressure: Standard up to 25 bar (shell & channel side); high-pressure models up to 40 bar
Design Temperature: -20°C to +180°C (depending on gasket; higher with special materials)
Plate Configuration: Chevron corrugation (high/low theta angles for different NTU requirements); single/multi-pass; plate count fully adjustable
Additional Options: Wide-gap plates for fouling fluids, double-wall safety plates, intermediate frames, sight glasses, drain/vent ports, PED/ASME certification
The corrugated plate pattern creates high turbulence, resulting in excellent heat transfer coefficients (up to 5–10 times higher than shell-and-tube) and close temperature approaches (as low as 1–2°C). The bolted frame allows easy capacity expansion or reduction, while replaceable gaskets enable thorough mechanical cleaning—critical for sanitary or fouling-prone duties. Compared to brazed or welded exchangers, gasketed PHEs offer serviceability without cutting or welding, reducing downtime and long-term costs.
